Brush & Sapling Cutting

Our brush cutting service provides a practical, cost-effective solution for reclaiming trails, opening views, improving access, and maintaining rural properties for less than half the cost of forestry mulching.

This is a property maintenance service which cuts brush, weeds, thickets, & saplings at ground level; mulching them up into pieces.

Finished appearance: after brush cutting, the area will be open, walkable, & drivable.  All smaller vegetation will be ground up; however cut stems may be visible, stumps will remain, and larger saplings may leave behind some scattered woody debris.

Forestry Mulching

For more complete removal of medium-sized trees, woody material (including stumps), and brush; forestry mulching offers a longer-lasting solution to convert an overgrown area into usable land.

With dedicated Caterpillar forestry mulching equipment -- we shred all vegetation into mulch, leaving the ground ready for future development.  This service can handle trees up to 8" diameter; mulching everything up in-place (no hauling or brush piles left behind).

Finished appearance: after forestry mulching, all vegetation will be pulverized into the earth.  Trees, branches & stumps are mulched, leaving behind a layer of wood chips.  Stumps are able to be ground at-or-close-to grade.  This service leaves your land with a much cleaner surface.

Which service is right for your property?

For many rural properties, brush cutting provides the access and visibility you're looking for at a fraction of the cost of full forestry mulching.

Our brush cutter service is the most cost-effective solution to easily clear heavy-duty brush and saplings, so you can open up trails or access roads.  Consider this a maintenance service, which may be needed every few years.

Alternatively, with dedicated forestry mulching equipment, we can offer a more permanent & complete transformation for areas you're preparing for land development or recreation trails.  Because of equipment & insurance requirements, this service typically costs 2-3x vs brush cutting.

Our pricing will depend on many factors including the size of the area to be cleared, the terrain & conditions, and the number of large trees & stumps that may need to be removed.

Pricing for brush cutting projects starts at $1,400; pricing for forestry mulching projects starts at $3,200.
